Manage Task


The Manage Task page provides an organized view of all tasks, displaying essential details to help users effectively track and manage their assignments. Key information includes:

  • Task ID: Unique identifier for each task.

  • Task Date: Date when the task was created.

  • Subject: Brief description of the task.

  • Assigned: Name of the individual responsible for the task.

  • Status: Current status of the task (e.g., open, closed).

  • Due Date: Deadline for task completion.

  • Last Activity: Date of the most recent update or action taken on the task.

Filters:

Users can refine their view by filtering tasks based on date, owner, assigned, status, task ID, or keywords in the subject.

Adding a New Task:

To create a new task, click the Add Task button on the Manage Task page. Enter details in the Info tab, including:

  • Subject: Title of the task.

  • Description: Brief overview of the task's purpose.

  • Priority: Set the urgency of the task.

  • Due Date: Specify the deadline for completion.

  • Task Holder: Assign a user to the task.

A checkbox labeled Lock Task Holder is available. If checked, the assigned task holder cannot be changed after assignment.

Viewing Task Details:

When viewing a specific task, users can access several tabs that provide detailed information:

  • Info Tab: Displays the subject, description, task owner, priority, and due date of the task.

  • Comments Tab: Shows the current assignee, status, attachments, and any additional comments related to the task.

  • Attachment Tab: Lists the filename, who posted it, and includes a download option for the attached file.

  • Event Log: Records changes made to the task along with the log date and description of updates.

Updating Task Details:

Users can update specific task details, including changing the task holder to assign a different person, updating the current status to reflect progress, modifying the urgency level of the task, and changing the deadline for completion.

Note: Only the task owner has the authority to close the task.
